Dont Laugh At Me

May 19, 2008

SEP gang @ Newton Food Centre

It was a pretty bad day
1. Meet SEP gang at Marina square at 4pm to go bowling, but bowling alley was booked by a company
2. Went to Turf city to see see (since xinyi & yalong have not been there before) and try the seafood buffet xianrong recommended. After taking a long bus journey, and climbing up the slopes, we realized there is absolutely nothing at turf city and the seafood buffet restaurant was actually at farm mart, which is located at lim chu kang. But when xinyi checked the turf city website the night before, the website stated "turf city/farm mart."
3. Took a shuttle from Turf city to Toa Payoh MRT station. From there we proceeded to Marina parade in hopes of having a steamboat buffet instead
4. We waited at Marina parade station bus stop for 30mins before bus 400 came. Got on the bus and when we were about to reach the place, all we saw was pitch blackness. The steamboat buffet area has disappeared or moved. Everybody on the bus were shocked, specifically my jaw dropped.
5. We took the loop back to Marina parade station. By then, it was 7.50pm already. Wasted transportation money and 4 hrs for nothing! Yaolong, the optimistic one, said we have explored many parts of spore lol. xinyi then suggested Newton Food Centre, a place that confirm exists and is still there lol. So we end up there and had a mini feast for the day's hard work haha

Last Week of School- Developmental Processes

Last lesson of developmental processes. I like this class the most haha. Moreover we get lots of sweets during presentations for participation. I guess because it is a small class of 29 people, we got to know everybody better

Dev Processes Class pic
This is my only class pic where everybody is present!
Guess who is our prof?
Dr So, the one at the rightmost side of pic

Last Week of School- Cognitive Neuropsychology

Last lesson of cog neuropsychology was a group presentation by Yongqi's group on peripheral agraphias. Poor things.. to have to prepare for an ungraded presentation on the last week of school. As usual, most people in the class was not listening lol. It was difficult to talk in class, so I took out a page of my organizer to write msg & pass to my friends. Jon took my paper & played the complete-the-story game. Each person is supposed to continue a story by contributing a line or two. Jon started with "Once upon a time,", i continued with "there was a little girl called Susan" (our cog neuropsy prof was Dr Susan Rickard Liow haha), and the paper was passed around the class.

It got too long that I had to add an additional page hehe

For those who do not know, Dr Matthew Woo is a part-timer lecturer at NUS who works at IMH.
The storyline ended abruptly due to the end of lesson. Jon took the paper to pass around the advanced abnormal psychology class the next day. I am not sure how the story continued haha

My cog neuropsy exam was semi-open book i.e. we can bring in a two-sided A4 size paper.
This is the front of my cheat sheet... Arial, font size 8.
I nearly died from mugging cog neuropsy because i did not touch the coursepack at all during the term (and hence did badly for my midterm). I realized the midterm is relatively easy if I had studied the coursepack, but it is so thick!!!! Almost the height of my little finger.
Hopefully my exam will pull up my grade
